I hope everyone had a blast in welcoming the new year!
I am Venus, who prior to joining the online instructors in Davao City, Philippines, was a full time English trainer in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) industry for 12 years.
Teaching has always been my passion and English has become second nature to me. So, when the opportunity to share my knowledge about the language presented itself, I did not think twice in joining the team.
Please allow me to bring you back to 2017, a sneak peek at the year that was! It was in June when General Kodama visited a city that was known to him as the city of President Duterte. A city that struggled to make a difference in the world. Friendly and promising, that is the city of Davao. After a careful assessment of everything needed to consider for a project that became the pride for many of us, a team was slowly built. Training was soon conducted. Trial lessons were offered and instructors were slowly put together to build a team. I, along with four other instructors, started teaching online in July of 2017 and the experience was good and very fulfilling. I have always been very excited about the batches of business professionals who sought help in improving their English. It feels right to have them in our classes. Our existence has been proven to be essential and important in their learning.
In the latter part of the year, Yuta visited Davao for the first until the third time to meet and greet everyone, conducted trainings and interviews.
This year, we are getting ready for the batches with whom we will have a chance to coach and influence with all things English and new lessons to conduct. The process of hiring more trainers is in the works and we are hoping to get the best instructors to join us!
