Hey! How have you been? As for me, I am having a great time being a resident instructor of English Boot Camp for almost two months now! Even though it’s not a stroll in the park, I find it very interesting because every weekend I get to be immersed with diverse people who are at first nervous in the execution of each activity that we have prepared. Most of them are so anxious that they even find it hard to speak in front of everyone.
But as the days go by its quite stunning to see them change and gain confidence in performing each task that we have set for them to do.
They learn to accept that committing mistakes, a thing most people fear to do, are okay and it shouldn’t be taken as a hindrance in improving oneself. Also during this 2-day event, using 2nd Best English is highly encouraged and has proven to be the most effective tool for students to understand English. They understand that even with limited vocabulary they can still express their ideas in a simple but clear format. They eventually conquer their fear of communicating with others and doing a presentation in English which in the end leaves them in astonishment that most of them even break into tears. They can’t believe that in such a short amount of time they were able to achieve their goals of gaining essential skills on how to effectively deliver their message using this universal language.
For someone who’s looking out for the student’s improvement, I can’t help but be proud as I witness their beautiful metamorphosis. It gives me a sense of fulfillment and gives me so much passion to become better at what I do. Now, I want to be a more effective instructor so that at the time you guys will have the courage to take on the challenge I can be there to assist you in facing the English world.
